Meta Description tag [4 marks] :-
The meta description tag should
consists of not more than 50 words,any where between 30 to 50 words make a good
meta description. Note that the first 25 words of the meta description should
have your keywords.This part s displayed next to title of each search result in
the Google organic search result.

In the field of your description
,put your webpage description ,see that the first 25 out of 160 characters you
enter,must have the keywords that you are targeting. Meta description tag is
present anywhere between the <head> to </head> tags of your
webpage.
TIPS:
1.make sure your most important keywords for the webpage appear in the meta description.
2. Make sure your meta description reads like a normal, human-written sentence and no keyword stuffing.

The default setting in blogger is
as such that the first 2 lines of content of your post is regarded as meta
description but if you wish to have your own description content, then follow
the steps below.
1.Go to blogger
settings–>search preferences–>select on edit–>click yes on edit beside
custom search description with out writing anything in the box and save
settings.
2. After the above setting is done
on the right side of publish post page you will find a box to enter its
respective description,then only write the matter with out the syntax and
update the page. Screen shot attached below.
Note: Meta description is not mandatory in case this tag is missing the first 25 words of the page post regarded as default meta description.
