Google analytics is a unique visitors traffic tracking tool, it is very efficient and accurate as it tracks only unique visitors or people, this is the reason why it is considered every where like for valuation, ad charges, alexa ranking etc...

It gives you the complete details of each visitor to your site like origin, source, location, ISP, browser, monitor version, OS, Search query etc... over different time periods.

The imporant details of a website are:
1. Bounce rate:  It is the avg. no. of people on every 100 visitors who have left away your website just after reading a single page.
Ideally for a site the bounce rate should be as low as possible.


Proper internal linking decreases the bounce rate and improves the no. of pages seen / visit and the avg. time duration of the visitor.

1. Login in google.com/analytics using gmail account.
2. Click on 'admin' in 'account' tab ---> create new account ---> give the name of account & website, give the website address, category, time zone and click on 'get tracking id' in Google analytics account
3. Copy the tracking id code and place anywhere in the head section  of the html code of the website (for general websites, the code must be placed in every page)


Note: To delete a website, in the admin, go to the account settings ---> delete this account.
