Meta Keywords are a specific type of meta tags that appear in the HTML code of a Web page and helps tell search engines what the topic of the page is
This tag should contain all the
keywords that you are targeting separated by comma, there should be only one
meta keywords tag per web page.
Example, seo,search engine
optimization tips, seo meta tags,etc. It should
consists of anywhere around 5 to 10 keywords.

Your keywords field should be
filled with your keywords separated by comma (,).This tag is again entered
between the head tag of any webpage.

The meta
keyword tag is
generated automatically according to the keyword density of the webpage. So
make sure the keyword you wish to rank on top for a webpage has get the highest
keyword density.

In word-press no need to write add
tags manually, by just installing respective plug-ins we can do better seo with
out taking mud to our hands. For that one go to Plug-in settings–>add
new–>install ALL IN ONE SEO PACK or SEO by Yoast –>Activate.
After activating any of the
plug-ins which are mentioned above, go to settings–>All in seo–>enter the
content for the 3 tags above for the home page with only matter and no syntax.
After the plug-in is installed at
the bottom of the each post page you will find the option to enter the
